Resident Artists and Architects

One of the hallmarks of Leap’s programs is its highly skilled artists and architects. Each Leap artist/architect provides a specific expertise, providing the students and teachers the opportunity to jointly learn new skills, which are typically are not part of standard Kindergarten through 8th grade curriculum.

Each Leap artist and architect has been fingerprinted and has TB tests on file, allowing them to work in any school setting. Additionally, each resident has experience in teaching children and is a working professional in his or her respective discipline. Intensive trainings ensure that our artists develop programs that encourage children to be curious and open-minded and to continue to persistently seek new challenges and opportunities. Trainings cover topics such as: curriculum integration, classroom management, diversity in the classroom, and lesson plan development.
